The most innovation and change occurring in human resources right now is in the area of the candidate experience, says Craig Fisher, vice president of sales and recruiting for Ajax Social Media.
There are also a lot of conversations about talent communities, Fisher told Monster at the Society for Human Resource Management’s 2012 conference in Atlanta. Talent communities bring together employees, active job seekers and others who are a likely fit for the company in the future to come together to network and get to know each other without the formal pressure of an interview. They can complement online job boards and calls for résumés where candidates.
The idea is “all about bringing the candidate into the fold; getting them communicating with your existing employees and sharing your culture so the candidates can do a better job of self-selecting into or out of your company.”
