For Nancy Geraghty, vice president of HR at Case-Mate, the biggest challenge facing Human Relations professionals today is credibility.
“I think you build that with business acumen,” Geraghty told Monster at the North American Candidate Experience Awards at the HR Technology Conference & Exposition earlier this year. Whether you’re in compensation or recruitment, she said, human resource professionals should have a sound knowledge and a deep appreciation of the organization’s field, including being able to speak business’s language , possess analytical skills and understand its market.
As for new HR technology Geraghty said that she is most impressed by the creative use of social networking in applicant tracking.
Case-Mate, the international design company known for creating fashion-forward accessories for mobile technology and tablets, earned a CandE Award with Distinction this year.
