Lance Haun, editor-in-chief of SourceCon, said that one of the most important HR technology trends is how passively useful it’s becoming. It’s about “making that technology work the way it’s supposed to without it getting in the way,” he said. Companies are creating online HR portals that do their work nearly invisibly to the user — whether it’s a recruiter, candidate or hiring manager.
But the biggest challenge for HR is still recruiting and retaining the right talent. “It’s always about that … it’s one of those eternal questions. What makes people tick? What gets people motivated to keep coming in to work? These are the things HR people are really looking for.”
